These earrings are great for just about all occasions. Because they are reasonable in price you aren't going to feel devastated if you lose one. I plan to order more sets as "back ups" By the way, I've been searching for a gold bar earring similar to this but with just a straight, thin bar hanging down. Another silver company online had them then stopped carrying them and I can't find them anywhere else. They were reasonable, gold over silver, and very elegant but not ostentatious or heavy. Please let me know if you ever get this type of earring Thanks again
